Visited LEDWorks (Philips Lighting Showroom) to pick up some lights including a Ledino dual LED spotlight. The spotlight costs quite a bit more than one of our MR16 fixtures into which we could simply put MR16 LEDs.
However, we needed a light with greater adjustability as this light is going to be used in the study/work room. Given its full range of rotation/tiltability seems more suitable than the typical MR16 LED downlight. Also, the LED comes in "cool daylight" which is sort of a cross between warm white and cool white (more cool than warm) which seems good for doing work.
A more interesting find is the Philips 7w MR16 LED replacement. Despite my pretty good internet search skills, I didn't even know this was being sold in Singapore. All I found was the Philips 4w MR16 which is sold by Chan Huat, of which 3 are being used in a fixture in the living room (Chan Huat didn't have that much stock).
Anyway, picked up 3 bulbs possibly for the guest room. I can always swap with my living room 4w ones in case I find the living room lights too dim.
Tip: LEDs seem exclusive to LEDWorks in the sense that I didn't seem them in lightings.com.sg. As for prices of non-LED Philips, LEDWorks after the 10% discount is pretty close in price to Balestier shops and actually holds stock. Balestier shops, you have to pay first and collect later.
